# Proxy

A **Proxy** is an optional external service that PriceFetchWP can use to retrieve a webpage when a normal direct request is not suitable.

A proxy may help when an external website blocks server requests, requires additional browser-like handling, or returns different content to direct requests.

PriceFetchWP includes integrations for supported proxy providers.
